Annual Fund

Each year New Vistas School seeks support from members of our community for a gift to the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund bridges the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a New Vistas education. As the 2011-2012 Annual Fund has begun, we are asking for your support in our efforts to raise $60,000.

The Annual Fund is the primary funding source for items not covered by tuition, including teacher salaries, academic supplies, financial assistance, professional development, building and grounds maintenance, and special programs, including music, art, drama, technology, and field trips.

Your contribution allows students with learning difficulties an opportunity to succeed in a smaller academic setting, while developing the confidence and social skills that are necessary for continued growth in the mainstream academic and work environments. Most gifts to the Annual Fund are unrestricted and used for the school’s most pressing needs as determined by the School and its Board of Directors.

Memorial/Honor Gifts
Your gift may be designated in honor or in memory of someone special. These gifts are acknowledged in the Progress, our quarterly newsletter.

Matching Gifts
Your personal gift to the school may be maximized if your employer participates in a matching gift program. Your Human Resources department will have this information.

Restricted Gifts
At any time of the year the school accepts donations to the New Vistas School Scholarship Fund: A donation to this fund helps to pay tuition for a child who couldn’t otherwise afford a New Vistas education.

Levels of Giving

• Summa Cum Laude $5,000 and Up
• Magna Cum Laude $1,000 to $4,999
• Cum Laude $500 to $999
• Dean’s List $250 to $499
• Merit Award $100 to $249
• Honor Roll Up to $99

The 2011-2012 Annual Giving Campaign began July 1, 2011 and will run through June 30, 2012. A contribution to New Vistas School is usually 100% tax deductible. Gifts can be made by cash, check, credit card, PayPal, or in the form of shares of stock or mutual funds. Please call the Development Office for stock transfer instructions.
