Mrs. Coppola

My name is Sarah Coppola and I teach Middle School Social Studies, Math, and Immersion Math.  My educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Business Management, and masters degrees in both Counseling and Special Education with endorsement in learning disabilities.

Social Studies at the middle school level includes Civics, Economics, Geography, and the study of American History. This year our focus will be on American History and related Geography topics beginning with the Native American Indians and their early cultures, and ending with the Civil War.  Our study will include the European exploration that occurred in North America and West Africa, Colonial America, the American Revolution, and the establishment of our Nation’s government.  Finally, westward expansion and reform will be explored, and our year will end with the causes, events, and effects of the Civil War.
