Tuition Assistance

New Vistas is committed to admitting qualified students regardless of the family's ability to pay the full cost of education. Qualification for financial assistance is based on demonstrated financial need of the family. We will work with you to determine need and available scholarship funding.

2008-2009 School Year
Please note that the deadline for applying for financial aid for the 2008-09 school year is May 20, 2008.  All SSS and Financial Aid applications must to be submitted by this date.  If you wish to apply and have not already done so please contact Barbara Johnson in the Business Office (434) 846-0301.

The Lucy Guggenheimer Ross Scholarship Fund

In 2001, the New Vistas School Board of Directors established an endowed scholarship fund, created by Rosel and Elliot Schewel to honor New Vistas director and founder, Lucy Guggenheimer Ross. The fund will provide a perpetual honor for Lucy and makes a New Vistas education financially accessible for more families. The scholarship fund, established with a gift of $300,000, is administered by The Greater Lynchburg Community Trust. Those who wish to contribute may contact the Trust at 434-845-6530.
