Welcome to New Vistas’ website.  Perhaps you’ve never visited our “real” campus in Lynchburg, Virginia, just a few steps from Lynchburg College.  We’ve been serving students who learn differently for twenty-four years – over 600 young people and still counting.

In grades K- 12 we offer a full program of academics, enrichment, and community service.  Often, children with special learning needs have spent the day focusing on their weaknesses; we make certain that part of every day with us they experience success and respect for their strengths and talents as well.

Through an Orton-Gillingham approach to all subjects, not just reading, we engage students in their own learning.  Visitors walk through out campus and say, “Your students seem so . . . happy,” as if education were a torturous daily experience.  Not at New Vistas!  We work hard, we challenge intellect, and we help each student reach their full potential.  Success is a positive experience!

We partner with Lynchburg College and Randolph College to enable field study students and interns in special education to observe and do practical studies on our campus.
